Camp Drake Ecology to Provide Recycling to All
Back to Ecology
Camp Drake is excited to announce that it is doing its part to reduce trash and commit to sustainability. Environmental stewardship has always been important to the BSA but is now being embraced by Camp Drake.

There will be at least two recycling bins placed at strategic locations around camp; all scouts, leaders, and visitors are welcome to use them. In addition to this basic recycling, the kitchen (which already uses washable dishes) will recycle the industrial tin and cardboard used in the food transportation process.

All troops are encouraged to collect recyclables in their camp sites and dispose of the materials in the training center. The Ecology staff will recognize the troop that contributes the most recyclables over the course of the week.

Troops may deposit all plastics, glass, cardboard, paper, and metals.

We owe a big thank you to Green Purpose in Champaign for allowing us to deposit the materials collected. Please visit their website for more information on the good work that they do!
