New Camp Director Announcement!

The Prairielands Council Camping Committee is pleased to announce that Lincoln Butzow has been selected as the Camp Director for Camp Drake in 2026. An Eagle Scout from Troop 32 in Paxton, Lincoln brings several seasons of Camp Drake staff experience along with a strong background in outdoor leadership.

He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University, where he studied park and recreation management. His professional experience includes serving as a property manager at Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky and leading the Youth Conservation Corps at Acadia National Park in Maine.

In 2026, Lincoln will lead a team of 35 staff members as Camp Drake enters its 94th season. The camping committee is looking forward to all the great work Lincoln will accomplish during the 2026 season!
