Sports

Set against the backdrop of the plateau, the Sports Center is a dynamic hub where Scouts are encouraged to embrace the spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical fitness. This area is specially designed for Scouts who wish to dive into a wide array of sports and fitness activities, fostering both their athletic skills and understanding of healthy living.

Our diverse program offerings include Personal Fitness, Cycling, Golf, Athletics, and Sports merit badges, as well as the strategic game of Chess. Each program is tailored to not only enhance physical abilities but also to enrich knowledge in various aspects of sports and fitness. Scouts will find opportunities to broaden their horizons, whether it's improving their golf swing, learning the nuances of team sports, or developing a personal fitness plan.

The afternoon at the Sports Center is a vibrant time, filled with troop and individual sport activities. Scouts can engage in a variety of games such as volleyball, soccer, softball, and ultimate frisbee. These activities are not just about competition; they are about building camaraderie, learning to work as a team, and having fun in a healthy, active way.

For those interested in golf, an 18-hole course located near Danville offers both recreational play and advancement opportunities. It's a perfect setting for Scouts to practice their strokes and enjoy the game in a picturesque environment.

Additionally, our open sports session from 4 to 5 pm provides a flexible time for Scouts to participate in their favorite sports activities or try something new in a relaxed and supportive setting.

At the Sports Center, every Scout has the chance to engage in physical activity, learn the value of fitness, and experience the joy of sports in a welcoming and encouraging environment.
